As an active contributor to the swine industry, you are invited to become a member of our organization. Benefits include information about upcoming events, publications, legislative updates and the ability to network with other producers. New in 2012 is an online directory of producers, with listings available yearly for $20 to members choosing to participate. We serve as a direct link between the Montana swine industry and the National Pork Board (administering Checkoff programs in promotion, education and research) and the National Pork Producers Council (conducting public policy outreach on behalf of 43 member states, including ours). Whether you are marketing 1,500 pigs a week or raising 5 yearly, our association is here for you.
Each January, MPPC holds an Annual Meeting & Tradeshow in Great Falls. As one of the largest swine tradeshows in the Western states, it provides the valuable opportunity to see the lastest in technology and techniques. The meeting is filled with top industry speakers and you will receive educational materials hot off the presses.
Each May, Pork Act Delegates are elected to represent the Montana pork industry during a Forum held each March. Any producer, who is a resident of the state and has paid all assessments due may be considered as a delegate candidate and/or participate in the election.
